Foundations of Ableton Live (International)

Geared towards orientating and familiarizing the student with Ableton Live, the student will discover techniques for; creating their own drum kits, instruments, laying down musical ideas analyzing arrangements of their favourite tracks, mashing up, remixing and eventually composing and arranging a track of their own. This would be a good place to start for those who have not used Ableton Live before. Ableton Live for Electronic Music Producers (International)

While similar to the Ableton Live for Beatmakers and Music Producers course (and drawing upon our two in-depth courses: Foundations of Ableton Live & Engineering with Live), the Ableton Live for Electronic Music Producers course is finely tuned towards teaching students the fundamentals and techniques of making electronic music with genre-specific electives. Students taking this course will learn everything they need to know on how to produce electronic tracks with the types of sounds and compositions that will put them in the same league as classic to modern popular electronic music artists and tracks such as Daft Punk ‘One More Time’, Justice ‘D.A.N.C.E.’, Darude ‘Sandstorm’, Fatboy Slim ‘Right Here, Right Now’, Stardust ‘Music Sounds Better With You’, Faithless ‘Insomnia’.

Course Duration: 15 x 1.5-Hour Private Classes

Ableton Live for Beatmakers & Music Producers (International)

Drawing upon our two in-depth courses at Mile High Sounds; Foundations of Ableton Live & Engineering with Live, we have devised an intense programme that caters to individuals with prior Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) experience (3 years or more) who wish to understand; core software functionality, programming & arrangement and the finer details of sculpting sounds i.e. frequency, dynamics, space, critical listening skills of instruments & music as well as recording techniques, plus practical application of these fundamentals to the students’ own music, leads them to creating more polished productions – not just in terms of quality musical ideas, but good sounding songs.
